Jennifer Fallon is an Australian Author. http://www.jenniferfallon.com/

Her books are:

The Second Sons Trilogy:
The Lion of Senet
Eye of the Labyrinth
Lord of the Shadows

The Hythrun Chronicles:
Wolfblade
Warrior
Medalon
Treason Keep
Harshini

I've read all but Warrior which is coming out this week, and recommend the books very highly.

What I find the most interesting about the Second Sons trilogy is how the "good guy" (Dirk Provin) is what I'd consider - particularly considering the kind of work I do - to be one of the most evil people around, yet the story is so well written that despite his evilness, you still love him and want him to win.

Small world! I worked with someone of that exact name, though we'd neither of us ever mentioned an author of the same!

P'raps something to point out to said colleague? :D

You could always buy them via an Aussie site :) You may even find them secondhand - would probably cost you the same to buy and ship as it would to buy new, but you would get it faster :D

i've been stung after ordering goods from australia and hong kong before ... ending up paying an £18 import duty on top of the actual goods price  thus making it even more expensive than buying here in the old uk.
gonna play it safe and just ..... wait ;)

I bought Warrior today, but I'm halfway through Trudi Canavan's Magiician's Guild series, and I'm quite enjoying it. So while I'd love to pick Warrior up and start reading it NOW, I do want to finish Trudi's series. I also got Glenda Larke's Trilogy today, and Russel Kirkpatrick's In the Earth Abides the Flame last week. I have to get Across the face of the World after Christmas (I should be getting a voucher to cover it :) ) So I can finish reading that series. But you can start the new posts if you like :P
Lots of Aussie/NZ reading happening over the next month or two.

Well, I finished Warrior last night. It was an absolutely compulsive read, and I must say that it helped me through a time where computer troubles made it not worth even turning the durned thing on.

The book is incredible though it leaves you hanging in the most awful way. I wont risk a spoiler so I wont say any more than that. I can't wait until the sequel comes out.

H, depending on the exact wight, and how you want it sent, it could cost between:
Seamail Aus$6 - $9 (3-10 working days)
Airmail $9.50- $15.50 (2-3 months)

economy air is right in between and takes between 2-4 weeks.

I get the book weighed properly on monday and find out the exact price (it may be more if I have under estimated the weight)

;) I suspect a typo ... how can seamail only take 3-10 working days whereas airmale takes 2-3 months  :D should i reverse the terms? days for months ???

thanx Emmy - let us know how much when you can and i'll be able to decide if i can afford it ;)

There's a book store that you can link on to when you go to Jennifer Fallon's site. I'm seriously considering ordering books. Have read Medalon and Treason Keep and like them very much. Would like the rest. Have also read the Second Sons trilogy and liked that too. :2cent:

:) I got all my books signed by Jennifer on the weekend.

She was the Special Guest at Conflux, a Con held in Canberra this weekend.

She's.... hmmm how to put it...nice seems too pale a word to describe :) let's say she's not afraid to say a things if she thinks it should be said, could talk the ear off any creature that had one - most certainly the life of the party.

Getting to hear the likes of Jennifer, Trudi Canavan, Russell Kirkpatrick, Sophie Masson and other Aus/NZ authors talk about their take on the fantasy and SF worlds was great. I just hope I get to see them all again soon!

How long have you been waiting? It only took a week or two for the first two books I ordered from them and I didn't get the fastest shipment either. Price wasn't too bad, either.

Have you visited Jennifer Fallon's website recently? She has a poll going on the what the next books should be about. Go visit and vote.

I have read Warlord, and it's brilliant. I also spent a good part of Saturday evening in jennifer fallon's hotel room meeting her family- including Dace and Tejay, whose names you may recognise from Wolfblade and Warlord.

Jennifer did a reading from the new book she is currently writing (The Tide Lords). She went to great pains to tell us they were rough first drafts, but they were good anyway.

I also have a spare copy of Warrior now, as I lent a copy to a sister. When i wanted to read it again I asked her if she still had it, and she claimed to have given it back, but would look for it.
A month later (a month ago from today) I gave up and bought another copy.
She found the copy I lent her yesterday.
If anyone would like a copy of Warrior, I'm happy to sell for Aus$15 (that's Aus$5 less than I paid for it, and it's brand new). It wont be available in the UK or US for some time I believe, possibly even a year or so.

Just finished reading Warlord, then did a complete reread of the Demon Child trilogy and now I'm like -H-, looking for more. Went to Jennifer's website. Her next books will be a series of 4 and won't be out until next year. Oh well, I guess that leaves a reread of the Second Sons trilogy.

I really enjoyed the Demon Child trilogy (and one day I will get around to the prequels). How does the Second Sons trilogy compare? I haven't read any of the Second Sons books.

I quite liked the Second Sons trilogy. Maybe even better than the Demon Child books. However, the prequel trilogy to the Demon Child should be coming out in the U.S. soon, and I liked them best of all. I'm too tired right now or I'd list them. Maybe Kesal or -H- will do so. They've both read them.
