What haven't you played?

Alright most of us here have probably been in some type of Pern PBEM/MUSH/MOO/RPG at least once or twice. Some of us have been playing in Anne's dragon planet for years. So, in all that time, is there anything you haven't played?

Oooh....I've been in so many clubs and have so many personae, it's hard...I have to break it down by type.


Weyrling goldrider (I've played three mature ones and weyrlings in other colors)
Apprentices in most crafts except Dragonhealer, Harper, and Miner that I can recall.
Craftmaster, Master in most crafts, at least as PCs.


That's all I can think of for sure.

You name it, I've played it, including a runner, dancer and a pillow crafter. The shortest stint outside npcs was Weyrleader. I played him three times and gave him to a friend. Not a job I covetted then or now!

It is easier to list what I have been vs what I haven't been. I have played riders, and candidates. Thats about it. I've had apprentice healer/harpers become candidates....but..never played a craftsperson part before.

I have a Weyrling master position open in my weyr, if you do non-cannon and can over-look the spelling mistakes...

So far, I have not rp'ed a WW, ww or WL, nor have I played a trader.

My one bronzerider was recently appointed as an aWLM and he will participate in the next leadership flight. The writer who played the WL just resigned, so the position is currently open.

I also have a jwm Dolphineer currently testing for master rank.

Weyrwoman - Not even *tried* to impress gold -- too much work and responsibility for me.
Trader - I've always wanted to be a trader, but it's never been a really active area in the places I play.
Holder - If this is meant to be Lord/Lady Holder, then see Weyrwoman explanation... And if meant to be just general holder folk, see Trader explanation.

I have been:

Weyrleader! What the heck was I thinking?! That particular character was the last I'd want to be responsible for a Weyr, too. Thankfully, he didn't have Thread to deal with.
Weyrlingmaster -- Well, I was an Assistant Weyrlingmaster a couple of times. Both as an extremely strict character, and a fatherly-yet-firm character.
Dragonrider - Doesn't everyone want to be this one? :roll: I have done this, yes. Sad fact is, the Weyrs are the most active place.
Craftsperson (Journeyperson and below) - Yup. Even above! I was craftmaster for a while... :roll: I'm glad that's over with. Got a great person to replace me there.
Candidate - Well, you kind of have to to become a dragonrider. ;) (Well, actually, not always. But I personally recommend candidacy. It builds character, if you play it right)

I have never been Candidate Master, Weyrleader, Weyrwoman, Headwoman, or drudge. Nor have I ever been Weyrsecond. Caveat on the weyrwoman. Never been /senior/ weyrwoman.

I've been everything except a Holder (unless you count Candidates who were briefly Hold folk before being Searched, but I think you meant a Lord or Lady), a FULL SENIOR Weyrleader (at Valihi we make any rider whose dragon catches a junior gold a Junior Weyrleader, like a Weyrsecond in the books only achieved through different means), and a Weyrwoman/gold rider of any sort, though I'd love to play a gold rider... *Floats off in fantasy.*

Oh, and I haven't been a Candidatemaster, but it wasn't on the list of choices, and since I'm only in one Weyr at present and I already play a Weyrlingmaster and a Junior Weyrleader (fourth term, whoot!), I think it wouldn't be fair to push the limits of how many powerful/ranking characters a person plays... ;)

Faranth, I think I've played just about everything on that list, including a few Holdless to boot. I've been finding recently that green riders and dragonless are proving more fun (for me, anyway) to play. Maybe I'm just weird. :erm:

I tend to write young apprentices that end up as candidates and eventually riders. My only non-rider is a young woman who works in the Weyr kitchens.

No goldriders either. All browns, blues, greens and a couple of bronzes!

I've never played a Weyrleader (although that'll change soon *sigh*), Weyrlingmaster (I'm a teacher RL, why do I want to roleplay it???), Craftperson, Trader or Holder.

The only one I can't believe is that I've never been a holder. Hmm. I do much prefer writing in the Weyr, even if it's not for dragonriders.

I've never been a weyrwoman, weyrleader, weyrlingmaster, holder or trader, and I was only a crafter for a very short time as my muse for that particular character was almost nonexistent from the start.

In the Weyr, I haven't played WW or WL, and dernit, but I forgot. I haven't played Weyrlingmaster or Candidatemaster or anything of that sort. I do have a Weyrsecond (WL's Second) and other ranking characters, and a goldrider, but not the big shebang.

Outside the Weyr, I've never played a Lord or Lady Holder. I've never played MasterHarper (which you didn't mention), I've never played any other Master Craftsmen that is the actual head of the entire craft. I have NPCd them for IC purposes, but would never assume to write them. Even at my own Weyr.

I'm having a lot of fun with my only current goldrider (on this board), who is a retiring Weyrwoman. I've never played a retired one at all before, and it looks like it'll be fun to play that out.
