Another day's a dawning
A dragon's night flight done
The castle's ruins a burning
The lair now a peaceful home

Dragons know treasure…

We know of cold gems and hot metal
To be fought over, won, collected, and gambled

But we dragons also know of a greater treasure
That which cannot be grasped in talons or leave prints in our scaled hides

A breath. A sigh. A laugh. A tear. A touch. A caress. A song. A life. A memory.

Some treasures cannot be counted, hidden, or concealed
These most valuable of assets can only be experienced

And yet such possessions will diminish when hoarded
For their riches can only increase and multiply

When they are shared…

A twitching tail, a scritching claw
The panthers pounce
Thus his friends entertained
The dragon purrs

A playful scratch goes too deep
Hissing, a panther bites hard and will not allow approach
The dragon's tears are not for his own wounds
But for his friend's

[Ryuu]

You have been there before
Standing on the shore
And all us flying a little higher
We can all reach the door

When you struggle and fail
Do not give in to despair
Anger can cause us pain
But anger can also give strength

Hunger makes us weak
But striving for something we seek
Determination keeps us going
Reaching out for a little more

Another step beyond
And another barrier undone
Fear of past pains resist
But our fight has made us strong

You have been there before
Standing on the shore
And all us flying a little higher
We can all reach the door

But with victory in sight
We hesitate in final fright
Worried that without struggle
What were our battles for?

One lone figure steps through
And the joy is exclaimed
A perfect harmonious balance
Returned to guide the way
