Which movies did you like best this year? Some movies are released in different markets at different times, so I'm not bothered if you count some movies which were originally released last year. DVDs released this year count too.
My favorites are:
1. The Return of the King Extended edition
2. National Treasure
3. Freaky Friday
4. Hidalgo
5. Lost in Translation

I didn't see too many of 2004's movies besides the blockbusters, so these are my favorites of those.
1. ROTK: Extended Edition
2. Spider-Man 2
3. The Incredibles
4. I, Robot
5. The Day After Tomorrow

I don't think that I have even SEEN 5 movies for 2004.
1. The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King (Extended)
2. The Day After Tomorrow
3. Around the World in 80 Days with Jackie Chan
4. The Incredibles
Those are the only movies that I've seen all the way through for 2004.
I've also seen bits of Hildago while my mom was watching it on DVD, but haven't watched it all the way through.

Of all the movies I've seen in 2004:
1. Grave of the Fireflies
2. Six Degrees of Separation
3. Troy
4. Pleasantville
5. Roujin Z
Interestingly, only one of those was at the cinema. Finding Neverland also ranks up there, though. They are among a total of 253 movies for the year. The worst movie? Freddy Got Fingered! :banghead:

Well:
For Xmas I got:
I Robot
Day After Tomorrow
So they'd both be in my top five...
Then there's:
Prisoner of Azkhaban
Bourne Supremacy
which we watched at the cinema and loved...
I suppose, of everything else I saw and belived to be 2004 material, Return of the King would have to shine through! Bought it on DVD shortly after release!

I bought the extended version of ROTK as soon as it was advertised online. I got mine 10th December. 2 days later had the rotten flu and a week off work so watched the entire trilogy in extended versions including all the extras.
So it wasn't all bad.
Hubby was sulking over having to do the housework and feed the brats - like he's not a big baby when he's sick :faint: - but he did it anyway, bless him.
Top 5 films:
Phantom of the Opera
The Incredibles
The Day After Tomorrow
Shrek 2
Bridget Jones - The Edge of Reason.
All at the cinema.
I also enjoyed Chronicles of Riddick, although it wasn't as good as Pitch Black, but mainly because it had Vin Diesel :applause:

Return of the King
Polar Express
Shrek 2
Prisoner of Askaban
That's it. Actually, I think they are theo only four I saw this year that were made this year. And Prisoner is there ONLY becasue it IS Harry Potter. I really didn't like it as much as the first two.
Earthmother
