It is relativly well known among WLTers and WLTeers alike that I don't come into the Lounge often. When I have come into the Lounge, I have noticed a few things though and I'm hoping I can get some clarification. If a thread starter wishes to have the thread locked, is it automatically locked all the time? If so, should people wishing to continue to talk about subject(s) raised in that thread start a new thread so that they may continue to talk about the subject(s) in question?

Generally, yes, if the thread starter requests it, it does get locked. (Except for polls-that-weren't because we can be evil sometimes :devil: )
Yes, if you still wish to continue the discussion in a calm manner, by all means, start a new thread about it!
