I'm sorry but I had to tell someone and I am totally psyched about getting into this AUSLAN course I have been hoping to get into ^^ I was 2nd on the waiting list but I got the call today to say that I had gotten in!!!

What is AUSLAN? AUSLAN is a course on australian sign language and it's history. I have been wanting to learn sign language since I saw my mum do sign english to teach the deaf students in her class. Hopefully in doing this and a few other course I can become a translator/interpretor for the deaf and mute :ok:

Not only that but to try and communicate with my severely autistic nephew who still hasnt spoken a word yet, though is being taught some sign language to communicate. :smile:

I can't wait to get started ^^

anywho I better try and chill now so i can get good rest. laters ^^:bouncy:

That's wonderful. I know a very little bit of American sign language. I worked in a program a few years ago that had a child who was autistic and another who had Down's Syndrome and they both were being taught to sign. Good luck to you!

Thankyou you guys XD. yes it is a ton of fun! I have a deaf friend who I talk to. I dont know many signs but i do know both american and australian sign abc by heart so i usually spell out and ask the sign for it ^^.

I cant wait to meet up with her in the course ^^.
