The Law Of The BB!
NOW this is the Law of the BB—as old and as true as the sky;
And the Poster that keeps it may prosper, but the Poster that breaks it may cry.
As the Poster that strives for his post count the Law runneth backwards and fo'ard—
For the strength of the Board is the Poster, and the strength of the Poster the Board.
Post daily from Poll Board to Critters; post frequent, but try not to ham;
And remember the Lounge is for Posting, and forget not it isn't for Spam.
The Nazis may follow the Newbie, but, Poster, when thy post count has grown,
Remember that Newbies soon fit in —go forth and start threads of thine own.
Keep peace with the Hosts of the BB—The Lily, The Cilla, The Kat;
And trouble not Wolfie the Techie, and mock not the Ian in the Chat.
When Poster clashes with Poster in the Forums, and neither give up his point
Lie down till the Hosties have spoken—Hurts, with fair words, Hosties annoint
When ye fight with one of the Nazis, ye may fight him alone or with friend,
Let others take part in the quarrel, you may well win through in the end.
The Lair of the Williter is the Willet, and where he has made him his home,
But beware of the pot when ye enter, and of you all any may come.
The Lair of the Young is the Youth bit, but where they have posted too plain,
The others shall send them a message, and so they shall add smilies again.
If ye post before midnight, a birthday thread, and everyone jumps on you fast,
Remember that such tends to happen, and be thankful you won't be the last.
Ye may Post for yourselves, and your mates, and your friends as they need, and ye can;
But Post not for Spamming or Post Count, and seven times NEVER just Spam!
If ye plunder his link from a Slower, give credit even in thy pride;
Post-Right is the right of the fastest; so leave slower places to hide.
The Threads of the Posters is the meat of the Board. Ye must Post where it lies;
And no one may post more than it is fair, nor fill us with mistakes or lies.
The Poll of the Poster is the right of the Poster. He may do what he will,
But, till he has added the options, the Posters must wait and stay still.
