um... a poem about the Willet I wrote on a whim in English...

A Willeteer's Lament

Page Eleven...
All that is left is silence...
Everyone has left...
'Cause of this, I am bereft...
A new Willet has begun...
They've left to have more fun...
Leaving this little thread,
to fade away as if one dead...
I weep for the end of this thread dear...
The poems and stories that I hold near...
A badger, a wabbit, a kitty, a llama, a mouse,
a squiggle, a bully, a duck, often enough make this their house...
Now I must away,
For if I stay, I'll never be able to
Page eleven,
Innit?

---------

I don't really know if it's any good... like I said, It was written in class...

A depressing piece...

Dying slowly from the dark
I see you
As I’m walking in the park
You see me too

Once loved, always loved we said
Then you ran away
And now I’m all but dead
Because you couldn’t stay

Too strange, too odd
You said it wasn’t me
But for the grace of God
This ain’t how it’s gonna be

I was feeling a bit rebellious...

The Broken Mask
My face was one that was hidden
By broken pieces of my heart
We chase that which is forbidden
I knew right from the start

I wore a mask that grinned and lied
I hid myself behind my pride
After all, who would look
Beyond the tattered covers of this book

I hid my face within fiction
My dreams were ones that were not mine
I fought against their prediction
Soon I learned to walk the line

The pile of masks, it seemed to grow
How many they were, I cannot know
I wore a mask and cried inside
But sometimes, you cannot hide

The mask is shattered, now it’s gone
My tears can finally be seen
I will never be fate’s pawn
I see inside of me a queen

I wore a mask that grinned and lied
I hid myself behind my pride
After all, who would look
Beyond the tattered covers of this book

I’m sick and tired of agreeing with you
Nodding and smiling and acting so sweet
You see, I have wants and needs too
I’m dropping the act and hitting the street

I wore a mask that grinned and lied
I hid myself behind my pride
After all, who would look
Beyond the tattered covers of this book

The cover’s gone, been torn away
This new me is here to stay
