Do you believe in ghosts? Not the supernatural in general, or gremlins, goblins, elves, trolls, vampires, etc... Just simply 'ghosts'!

Well, do you...?

I'm the first to reply!!!!!!!! I don't believe in ghosts, but I do believe in gHosts :D I also believe in spirits, such as the spirit of my dad who right after he died I felt him and sensed him helping me get everything I needed to go home to his furneral......

I'm saying yes. I've never seen or experienced one but there are too many people who have. They can't all be imagining things.

OK, my answer is kind of confusing.

No, I definitely don't believe in ghosts, and that's what I voted. But I still think I once saw one...
OK, so I know that's not true, but somehow I don't want to tell myself that. :sorry:

I'm very confused about it, because I'm not exactly sure what a ghost IS! I don't think there are any white sheets floating around yelling "BOO!", but I do agree that there are just too many sightings of "something" to say there is nothing out there. What it is, I've no idea!?

Added to this, what about poltergeists? They seem to be mischievous, sometimes even malevolent. Are they ghosts of people who have died, or something completely different?

I've never seen either, but that doesn't mean I'm not willing to be persuaded by a visitation! (Benevolent, please!) :ghost2:

Now that's something I never even thought about. Are there animal ghosts? I suppose there must be if you've seen them, BM! :ok:

I was once nearly asleep in my parents house that they moved into from the one they had when I was little, and I thought at one point I had seen a mummified egyptian head floating up near the ceiling but I passed that off as some sort of illusion caused by my sleepy mind...

Another time after one of the people I had known in a college course had passed away after a sudden car accident I had a strange dream. It was as though I had been watching a slide show of different people I knew from the college and when this person I knew appeared he was smiling. I have a feeling he was trying to tell me that he would be alright...

I also have opened the door at a Passover celebration for Elijah, and ran back fast to watch the wine in the center of the table and the wine went down a tiny sip. I've not experienced anything like cold spots but I know there are things that could go bump in the night

Yes, I believe in ghosts. And science can't disprove them, because there's one rule you can't get around: Energy cannot be destroyed, only changed. So, what happens to the energy that is known as the persona/soul/animation of a human body when the physical body dies?

BEsides the fact, my family has usually be fairly open to dealling with ghosts. The house I live in is "haunted". I have seen too much to disbelieve.

I don't have to "believe" in ghosts to know they exist. They exist.

I've seen a few. More when I was younger though.

Dawn

I don't. I'd have to see it to believe it.

gHosts certainly :D I do beleive in spirits of a sort, like angels and things like that, but not ghosts as most people think of them.

JayEgo

:ok:

Some valid thoughts here so far!

Personally, I like to believe in ghosts but I've no direct anecdotal evidence to really support my belief. My Nana has had an experience, though we believe that to have been an angel and I saw 'something' but that could equally have been a trick of the light!

Animal ghosts? Of course! No reason why not, unless you don't believe animals have souls...?

No. I don't believe in ghosts, as people see them as souls that got lost or left stuff undone or got brutally murdered...I don't believe in souls period.

Now spirits, they are another matter entirely. No, I never saw one, nor felt one but they do exist nevertheless - benign or evil, they're out there! :)

I am like silverspirit, in his choices, but for diff reasons.
For ghosts not existing, all but the soul thing is why i dont think they exist.
But spirits, i have seeen, heard, and felt them before.
And souls, cant say enough about them.

My Dad actually met the ghost, he thought a dog had somehow got in said to it "I'll let you out" looked at it, saw the detail of the fur, heard the claws of the dog on the floor and then watched it walk though the door  It was never seen after that oviously it needed someone to let it out.

<-- I didn't vote, but only due to the fact that I'm very UNfond of the term ''Ghosts''...

:shake:

BUT,
As I'm a 13th Generation Psychic, and work as a Paychic/Psychologist, it'd be pretty darn silly to say I don't believe in those who've ''passed over'' wanting/needing to make contact at times, and that's what I am often honoured to facilitate...

A spirit may be your soul after death . I'm sure many supernatural ghosts/spirits/ etc. are out there - we just don't want to see/ admit to ourselves that they are.

Reincarnation, maybe, ghosts maybe, pretty much everything maybe and so I'll reserve judgement.
