I've got a few poems that I wrote in high school that I've been told were OK, so I thought I'd share them with you. Can't guarantee that you'll like them, but it's worth a try. :redfruit:

Prison

Trapped in this prison.
Nowhere to go.
No one to turn to.
Feeling so alone.
Feeling so empty.
I've nothing to do
But sit in this prison.

Every day's a reminder
Of the pain I must face
And though I'm my own captor
I cannot leave this place.
People pass by me
But they don't realize
That I'm trapped in this prison.

What is wrong with the world today?
Will it ever heal,
Or will people never care
How others feel?
I sometimes wonder:
Will eternity
Leave me in this cold prison?

I sometimes wonder:
Where is the key?
Will somebody find it
And come to set me free?
Will somebody realize
That I'm trapped in here
And let me out of this prison?

Stranger

On a gray, misty day
A girl that we thought we knew
Came to town.
But she had changed.
She was no longer a quiet lamb
But an imprisoned soul,
As open as the sky
Yet as mysterious as the shadows...
And we suddenly realized that
The girl we had known
Had become a stranger.

Never Here To Go

You were never in my life,
But you're still in my dreams.
If you'd only give me a chance
I'd show you
Just how much you mean to me.

Whenever you're around
You never even look my way...
Feels more and more like
We're drifting apart
Though you were never here to stay.

When I close my eyes, I can see your face
With a smile as warm as an angel's grace.
But you don't even know I'm here
So please tell me why, before you disappear...
Why does it feel like you're leaving me?
Tell me so I'll know.
How can I say you're gone
When you were never here to go?
