Do you have any unique Christmas traditions?
We have some, such as the night before Christmas Hubby makes homemade granola. Then, after the kids have gotting into their stockings and played with some of the small toys in there we all get together around the kitchen table and have a bowl of the granola. Then because we have older children that don't live at home but want to be here to watch the little one open their gifts we don't open our gifts until 8am. Then everyone is home.... and next year it's going to change.... we'll have 2 grandbabies here :D

Only a few. Hubby's family always has fresh, homemade doughnuts and a big breakfast Christmas morning. My side grabbed whatever they could find so we could open presents as early as possible. Hubby's side hand out one gift at a time so everybody can see what it is and thank yous can be said, if the giver is there. My mom hands out everything all at once and in the mad rush of opening, cards get thrown away and as a result nobody knows what came from whom. So we've blended the two family rituals. We have a fast breakfast and hand the gifts out one at a time. :D We don't open gifts the night before but anything in a stocking christmas morning is fair game. It wasn't unusual to peek in at the kids christmas morning and find them sound asleep with a half eaten orange in one hand and an arm around their stocking.

The main tradition we have is that our family opens presents together, and in a circular manner, ie presents are pased rouynd, and we each open them one at a time. It makes the presents last longer, and you see what everyone else got!

Our Christmas Traditions are as follows:
Christmas eve, we go to my parents church as a family to their candlelight service (both my brother's family and myself attend different churches, so this is the one time we go as a family). After church we go to my moms for OUR Christmas dinner and then open presents..as already mentioned, we do it one at a time in a circle :D
Christmas Day we have Christmas Dinner with my uncle's family (we drive there, or they drive here..its 3 hours both directions) .. and return that evening.
The last tradition technically isn't Christmas, but New Years Day we go up to the cabin with my moms church and they clear off part of the lake for skating, and do a big thing there on new years day :D

We don't really have any traditions either. We get together either Christmas Eve or Day and open presents. Then we have dinner. :D

Because of the nature of w**k... Shifts and twenty four hour, seven day a week care, we can't predict what we'll be up to eahc year!
The only things we do every year are:
Put up tree and decorations.
Open presents one person at a time.
Enjoy a big meal on Christmas Day.
Nothing stunning in that lot though...
