After school...after college...whatever. When you get out in the real world and have to start earning your own way and paying your own bills...what do you want to do?
I found a site that gives salaries for certain careers throughout the US. Might be interesting to see what your preferred career choice actually will pay.;)

Don't go for the personalized report. The basic service is free.:good:

Hey, Jaxie doesn't have to be all growed up if she doesn't want to be. I sometimes don't want to be all growed up, and I'm a teeny tiny bit older than her. (Well, just a smidgen more than a bit! :erm: ;) )

I'm currently in my first year of a theatre Studies (Performance stream) Diploma, doing exactly what I want to. :D If all goes as planned, in another year, after I've received my Diploma, I'll apply to go into my college's Motion Picture Arts Degree program... Good stuff! :D

I just remembered something.
I this found this out when I was at the Tate Gallery in London. They DO pay people to stand around and look at the paintings. ;)
Well, there is the looking at people who are looking at paintings part, but you might get lucky and be posted at an unpopular section.

20th March 2006, 02:04 AM
I DO think it will be fun. Now I have to call the school tomorrow and find out what requirements I will need to fill. They give you life experience for some of the pre-requisites, so I'm going to try to get all I can! They'll have to find someone else to translate, but I know a few people in the community who can speak Spanish and speak Hebrew better than I do.

Well, if I ever go back to school again, it'll either be another utterly useless liberal arts degree (an MA or PhD in foodways material culture or some such--I already have a BA in Archaeology and Anthropology, and MA in Museum Studies, and shortly will have an AS in Culinary Arts plus, more importantly, Le Diplome d'Art Culinaire from Le Cordon Bleu--guess which one's gotten me the highest paycheck so far) or I'll have to start at the bottom and work my way up for a geology degree. (Biggest hangup: no chemistry. None. No, not even a high-school course. Geology, biology, physics, all at university level, but no chemistry anywhere.)
