Did you think the game was as good as you thought it'd be, or is it worse?

I voted yes, it wasn't all that bad and I found new stuff every time I played.

I don't have the game, but I have played some of it before. I was EXTREMELY disappointed to find that there was no threadfighting or even manual flying, but it's still very satisfactory, being able to move around in Pern and see everything in motion :heartbeat Can't wait to get the game one of these days!

Yeah, the lack of threadfighting was a disappointment, even the old Atari/C64 game had that, but then the PC one was set during an Interval, so they got around it that way.

It was issing to many of the fun things like flying and being able to chose a different character, but i'm more of a role-playing person that doesn't like things to be on a you have to do this or you can't get anywhere. It was a good game but it didn't like up to my standards.

I'm just getting started with it, so I'm not sure yet. It's not my usual type of game. I'm having a bit of difficulty learning what to do, what to look for, and how to do everything.

It was an okay game, but it didn't live up to my expectations.

The dragons in the game create a wormhole that they travel through instead of seemingly popping out of existance like I image "going between" to be like.

No real flying let alone fighting thread. (Of course, I'm terrible at flight sims. If I can get into the air and actually fly straight, I'll crash if go anywhere near the ground again. )

Gryphon, you should be able to get a walkthrough at http://www.gamefaqs.com.

I did not have any expectations and so it had none to live up to.

I enjoyed the game, because it seemed to me, that it played the same way the books read.

It never occurred to me that I would fight thread, or fly on a dragon.

The Wyre bowl did not hold enough stuff. The dragons did not go Between correctly.

Over all, I enjoyed it.

Just starting the game (my boyfriend just got it a couple weeks ago). Made it toward the end before I realized that I'd missed a few items (mainly because his roommate keeps turning the game off on me and then tries to talk me into playing fighting games or D&D :banghead: ), so now I'm getting ready to re-start.

Overall, I was rather hoping that there would be some Threadfighting, but... *sigh* Still, I find it better than some of the other games out there. Didn't live up to expectation, but still a good game. :ok:

Kinda' disappointed. Everything is so cookie cutter in personality. And the dragons look like flying golden retrievers. They don't really do between very well, All the Pern natives (creatures) just ton't look right (wherries for one). The camera is peeving me off the deep end, there's not enough people anywhere (what? are there only 50 people on pern?) everyone looks alike, and the places are too small.

But it is much funner than other games I have on my computer... I just kinda' wish there was more of a story line and room for deviation from the main one.

I finally got the game! :woohoo: So now I can live out the rest of it and see how it is :D I know it won't meet a lot of what I would LIKE it to be, but just knowing it's Pern is more than enough for me :bouncy:
